The Smoking Cigarette Tragedy

Smoking damages every part of the body - there is no institution that does not touch it. Causing many diseases. Reduces the quality and enjoyment of life and reduced life-how long a smoker can expect, is possible.

Smoking has a devastating effect on the individual and his family and friends. Smoking and more every day about 6,000 children under 18 years, of which about 2,000 are regular smokers. That is nearly 800,000 per year. ItIt is estimated that at least 4.5 million adolescents in the United States smokers and about 90 percent of smokers start smoking before the age of 21. Cigarette smoking during childhood and adolescence produces health problems. These issues include cough and mucus production, increased number and severity of respiratory fitness, an unfavorable lipid levels and reducing the potential for delay in the rate of growth of lung andHeight of lung function. It is estimated that about 440,000 Americans die each year from diseases caused by smoking.

It was estimated that in England, 364,000 patients are hospitalized each year from diseases caused by smoking. This 7000 is in hospital for weeks, or 1000 days. For every death caused by smoking, smokers are about 20 suffer from a smoking-related diseases. In 1997/98, estimated that smoking causes480,000 patients to consult their doctors for heart disease, stroke and 20,000 of about 600,000 for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Half of all young people who are currently smoking diseases caused by cigarette smoke, which - if they are to smoke more. A quarter of dying before 70 years, losing an average of 21 years of life. It is estimated that from 1950-2000 the six million Britons, 60 million people around the world died from tobacco caused diseases.One of the two long-term smokers die prematurely because of smoking - half of them in middle age. Smokers also have an increased risk of nonsmokers for developing many diseases, which could be fatal, but can cause years of debilitating diseases or other problems. These conditions are:

Buerger's disease (severe circulatory disease)

Nystagmus (abnormal eye movements)

Ocular Histoplasmosis (fungal eye)

Optic neuropathy (loss of vision, 16 x risk)

Osteoporosis (in both sexes)

Penis (erectile dysfunction)

Peripheral arterial disease

Pneumonia

Psoriasis (2 x) Risk

Rheumatoid arthritis (for heavy smokers)

This means that the movement smoker, having heard, muscular municipalities, sexual, digestive, lungs, skin and other problems do not have - a nice picture. The life of a smoker is not easy. Sufferingand diseases caused by smoking heavily. The only way to ensure you have this pain and suffering, is not to smoke. If you currently smoke, you must leave the program. Quitting is not easy, but you do not agree, the process of leaving alone - you can advise, support and assistance they have.
